We started a tradition in 2016 to hand pick our young pinot gris vines (planted in 2000). The picking starts by 9am and wraps up around 12.30pm followed by a BBQ lunch. BYO buckets and secateurs, its a great social day.
Thankyou to our friends and family who joined us on our second Pinot Gris Harvest Day. The day started at a perfect 18 degrees and quickly hit 30 degrees by the afternoon. With many hands picking grapes, we were thankful to be out of the sun and enjoying a cool drink by lunch time.
Whilst Andy was delivering the last tractor load to the wine maker next door, Don very kindly started the BBQ up for all to enjoy.
We look forward to the next harvest in March 2018 – we’ll keep you posted on the date as soon as the grapes let us know they’re ready for picking.
